Keonjhar triumph in State Wushu Championship

Keonjhar emerged champions in the 22nd Odisha State Wushu Championship, which concluded here at Saheed Nagar Indoor Hall today. Keonjhar bagged a total of 33 medals, which included 20 gold, seven silver and six bronze.

Khurda finished first runners-up with six gold, three silver and six bronze medals, while Sambalpur ended second runners-up with four gold, six silver and six bronze medals. Around 250 competitors from 17 districts participated in the two-day championship, which was organized by Bhubaneswar Wushu Association, under the aegis of Wushu Association of Odisha (WAO).

Bhubaneswar North MLA Priyadarshi Mishra handed over the prizes at the closing function. State Assistant Sports Secretary Akhil Bihari Das, Bhubaneswar RotaryClub secretary Satyananda Swain, Kuchina Odisha chief Sanjay Choudhury, WAO president S S Harichandan and secretary Pradyumna Behera were present on the occasion.
